installing garden hose onto a reel. hose fitting at faucet leaks. should i add grease to the gasket in the hose?

I have bought a new hose pipe which is on a wheel. I know how to connect the actual hose pipe but do i connect a piece of pipe from my tap into the back of the holder. Then do i connect the hose pipe that come with it to the holder as well. There`s loads of connection points. Ive only been used to tap and end of hose. Cant find any instructions on web site. If its any help its called aHOZELOCK COMPACT HOSE REEL

I was out shopping and realized I need a new hose. I hate the standard water hose because it always gets kinked up. So I saw this “as seen on tv” hose that’s made from the same stuff as the fireman’s hose.

Any of youalls had a negative experience from that one?

this is a reel with a motor on it / I push the button and the reel brings in the garden hose (300 feet) / I want to find a way to use a remote control to control the rewinding insted of having to push the toggle switch. ttis there an inexpencive way to do this? help

Mine seem to always leak when they are connected? What do I need to do?

I have. Never on purpose. They just happen to like hanging around there cause it’s like a little oasis.

but not sure if there is a good 1 that is not too expensive. I bought the 1 I am using now used & it is extremely hard to reel in (I think it used to be automatic). I just want to get something that I don’t have to mount to the house that is not too hard to reel in. Any advice?

this is the picture of the thing that keeps on falling off the hose connected to the garden hose reel. We keep on trying to put it back on but it cannot be locked and fall off again.
I am trying to find the locking features but no way.
Do you know how to fix it?
